At Van Horn Hyundai of Fond du Lac, we care about our Wisconsin community. Our Hyundai dealer near Ripon is proud to sell vehicles from manufacturers who care about the people they serve. That’s why our Hyundai dealership, along with others throughout the country, partakes in the passionate fight against pediatric cancer.
In 1998, Hyundai began backing an initiative to assist the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This rapidly grew into a national effort that became known as Hyundai Hope On Wheels, or HHOW. HHOW is a charitable organization with the goal of funding cancer research while increasing awareness of childhood cancer. Together with the help of more than 830 dealerships and customers across the nation, Hyundai Motors America can support the cause with a donation from every sale of a new Hyundai vehicle.
Why pediatric cancer?
Hyundai and its network of Hyundai dealers believe in doing better. Better cars, better service, better society, and part of building a better world means donating to philanthropic efforts that help make the world a better place. Hyundai believes that children are the future and that they deserve every possible opportunity to learn and grow. Moreover, children deserve a world without the threat of pediatric cancer. This disease is the leading cause of death of children in the U.S., and the efforts of HHOW are helping to fight against this terrible trend. As of 2018, Hyundai Hope On Wheels reached $145 million in donations to pediatric cancer research.
